May 15, 2015 – The Carroll Lutheran Village Readers’ Theatre presented two one-act comedies on May 14. More than 80 residents attended and raised $1,480 for the Resident Assistance Fund, which supports residents of the Village with financial need.
In The Tuesday Club by Gail Blanton, Etta (right, played by Alice Kennan) is a woman beginning to exhibit signs of dementia. Three friends support her as she struggles through a visit.
Policy was written by Village resident Stephen Malin. It is the story of Phillip Halcion (top left, played by Sam Edleman) who is seemingly forgetful and confused when Kevin Branding (top right, played by John Adams) tries to sell him an insurance policy. Well-meaning friends of Phillip’s try to intervene believing that he is being taken advantage of, when there is really more than meets the eye to the Phillip’s interest in purchasing that insurance policy.
