April 24, 2017 – Carroll Lutheran Village volunteers were honored on April 22 as part of National Volunteer Month. The event featured a concert by Coram Deo, a men’s choral group from the Bethel Korean Presbyterian Church in Ellicott City, followed by refreshments and social time.
More than 150 of the Village’s 402 volunteers were on hand to enjoy the event, including (from left) Dot Sisler, Hazel Rectanus and Jo Tully. Last year more than 25,000 hours of volunteerism were documented by community volunteers and residents who gave time to the Village, as well as by residents and staff who volunteered within the greater community. This time is valued at more than $593,000.
