June 12, 2017 – Volunteers who documented 100 or more volunteer hours with Carroll Lutheran Village last year were honored at a luncheon on May 25, 2017. In 2016, 11 students, 160 adults from the off-campus community and 231 residents documented nearly 25,000 of volunteer service to the Village.
A total of 73 volunteers gave 100 or more hours and were eligible for the President’s Volunteer Service Award, created in 2003 by President George W. Bush to recognize the valuable contribution that volunteers make. These 73 volunteers contributed nearly 17,000 of the total hours documented:

Carroll Lutheran Village is a not-for-profit accredited continuing care retirement community in Westminster that includes 396 homes and apartments, 50 assisted living suites in the Diven House and 103 skilled nursing beds in the Health Care Center.
