September 29, 2015 – Denise Zimmermann R.N., B.S., has been selected as the Director of Nursing for Carroll Lutheran Village. She has more than 20 years of experience in long-term and acute care settings.
Zimmermann joins the Village after serving as the Director of Nursing at Overlea Health and Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore. Prior to that she was with Genesis HealthCare.
As Director of Nursing, Zimmermann will direct and support the nursing team as they care for residents of Health Care Center at Carroll Lutheran Village. She will develop and implement plans and programs to improve resident satisfaction using a holistic approach to care. Zimmermann has already established a system to assist residents in making a seamless transition into a skilled nursing environment, and is in the process of developing a program to partner new residents with an internal agent who will follow them throughout their stay from admission to discharge.
Carroll Lutheran Village is an accredited, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Westminster with approximately 700 residents in 398 homes and apartments, 50 assisted living suites in the Diven House and 103 skilled nursing beds in the Health Care Center.
