CLV Hosts Annual Dinner To Benefit Carroll County Food Sunday

The evening began with a cocktail hour that included music and a silent auction. The Village’s award winning Executive Chef, Shelley Funt, prepared a surf & turf menu for more than 120 guests that included beef tenderloin medallions, the Village’s signature jumbo lump crab cake, harvest salad, herb scalloped potatoes, haricot vert bundles and a trio dessert plate.
The event, formerly known as Off the Shelf where the chef prepared a gourmet meal from food pantry staples, has adopted a Love Boat theme and is now called Dining at the Captain’s Table. This maiden voyage included a captain at every table and Food Sunday volunteers dressing as Love Boat characters Captain Stubing, Julie, Doc and Gopher.
Carroll Lutheran Village donated the space and management staff for the event and dining services partner Sodexo Quality of Life Services donated the food.
The 7th Annual Dining at the Captain’s Table Gala is scheduled for October 18, 2018 at Carroll Lutheran Village.
