Active Aging is defined as being engaged in life connections and fulfilling relationships. It contributes to feeling healthy and happy, and it increases overall well-being. It also improves one’s ability to remain active longer, recover from an illness sooner and reduce the risk of falling and getting a chronic disease (e.g. diabetes, high blood pressure).
Active aging at Carroll Lutheran Village is experienced by learning, creating, growing and enjoying oneself. Amenities like our fitness center, pool and walking trail help residents exercise their physical activity. Classes (e.g., arts and crafts, history and more) offer opportunities to pursue hobbies and new interests. Chaplaincy services support residents’ spirt.
