Carroll Lutheran Village offers two short-term stay programs – respite and recovery stays.

Short-term Respite Stay

Ideal for caregivers who need a break, are traveling out of town or have another need for a short-term stay for their loved one.

Respite residents experience the same person-centered care and generous services our assisted living Diven House residents receive but for a short-term stay. During their short-term stay they live in the comfort of a fully-furnished apartment and receive housekeeping and laundry services as well as all the other services and amenities enjoyed by our assisted living Diven House residents.

A short-term stay under our respite program also provides an opportunity for a loved one to experience assisted living at Diven House before deciding to move to Carroll Lutheran Village.

Short-term Recovery Stay

Sometimes it feels as though being discharged from a hospital or rehabilitation stay comes too soon. Recovering from a severe illness or surgery while managing the everyday tasks of living at home and rehabilitation procedures can feel overwhelming, and it’s often difficult to refrain from doing too much too soon, which can delay recovery.

Carroll Lutheran Village’s short-term stays for recovery provides seniors with the extra care they need to feel safe and secure when returning home. Our professionally trained team members deliver person-centered care, 24/7, in our fully accredited Health and Rehabilitation Center.
