Going Green

Our rural location and scenic views are among the main reasons our residents chose to live at Carroll Lutheran Village, and we want to do our part to conserve and preserve the natural beauty that surrounds our retirement community so current and future residents can enjoy the beauty for years to come.

In 2021, we started with transitioning to LED lighting and energy-efficient features in two of our original apartment buildings and outdoor grounds, which has reduced light consumption by 71%. At the start of 2022, over 400 solar panels were installed, saving the community approximately more than $60,000 per year and making CLV more “green.”

Updating the Grounds

Roads and parking lots have been paved. Directional and building signs have also been updated to be more effective and consistent in appearance.
