Wellness and Fitness for a Healthy Life

Staying active is key to living a vibrant, healthy life. With an array of activities that spark interest regardless of abilities, you’ll have everything you need to remain active and, likely, become more active.

  • Fitness Center: Exercise the muscles on our low-impact cardio, strength and balance building equipment designed specifically for seniors. Group
  • Fitness Classes: Join our fun and invigorating fitness classes, including yoga, tai chi, balance exercises and more.
  • Walking Trails: Take in the beauty of nature while walking through our landscaped trails.

  • Creative Spaces: Whether you’re interested in woodworking, quilting, model trains or the fine art of painting and pottery, we have dedicated spaces in our community for you to create and appreciate along with other enthusiasts.
  • Gardening: Regardless of whether you’re interested in growing herbs and vegetables to accompany your meals or a lovely bouquet of flowers to decorate your home, you can nurture your green thumb by tending to your garden in your backyard or one of our resident garden plots.
  • Library and Computer Lab: If you’re looking to read a good mystery, research a favorite subject, check out a DVD for the grandkids or read your email in the computer room, you will lose track of time in our library.

  • Gathering Spaces: Relax, chat and join in group activities at our lounges, beverage bars, courtyards and pavilions, and chapel.
  • Creative Spaces: Connect with others over hands-on creative projects in our wood shop, quilting room and model train room as well as the Heauer Art Studio.

Recreational Activities That Provide Competitive Fun

Within a short walk from home, Carroll Lutheran Village makes it conveniently easy for you to engage in an active lifestyle while having a little competitive fun with friends. Our indoor and outdoor recreational activities include:

  • A Billiards Lounge – Shooting a game of pool is a great pastime to share with other players while practicing your hand-eye coordination.
  • Card and Game Rooms – Bring your friends together for a favorite card or board game in any one of our card and game rooms.
  • Tennis and Pickleball Courts – Pick up your racket and get your heart pumping over a classic game of tennis or trendy game of pickleball with other enthusiasts.
  • Croquet Court – Join in a leisurely game, whether it be as an occasional player or as a member of our croquet club.

Engaging Programs for Mind and Spirit

Keeping the mind active and staying engaged with the world around you is an important part of living well. That’s why we offer a variety of programs designed to inspire learning, exploration and personal growth.
  • Lifelong Learning: Study history, learn to fuse glass, practice line dancing or delve into another subject taught by a college professor.
  • Wellness Program: Support your overall well-being with activities that focus on six dimensions of wellness.
  • Spiritual Programs: Seek spiritual connection from services in our chapel and chaplaincy services as well as support from our Stephen Ministries program.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Share your time and talents within and outside of Carroll Lutheran Village.
