Centennial Park is a prime spot for fishing and boating. With seven miles of walking trails and picnic pavilions, it’s a great place to spend the day with friends. Patapsco Valley State Park is a public recreation area along the Patapsco River. Our retirement community residents enjoy hiking and fishing along the river. B&O Ellicott City Station Museum is a National Historic Landmark preserving the nation’s oldest surviving railroad station originally constructed in 1831. Two floors of exhibits detail the history of the B&O Line. Outside on the museum’s grounds, an HO-scale model displays the first 13 miles of track on the line and a restored 1927 caboose.
