Carroll Lutheran Village will host Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and writer Dave Barry on Saturday, April 6 at 2pm in Krug Chapel Auditorium. The event is a partnership between the Village, Carroll County Public Library and A Likely Story Bookstore to kick off National Library Week.
Miami resident Dave Barry is the author of many bestsellers including Dave Barry’s Complete Guide to Guys, Dave Barry Turns 40, and Dave Barry is Not Making This Up. A wildly popular syndicated columnist, he won the 1988 Pulitzer Prize for commentary. Barry now shows us how to age gracefully, taking cues from his beloved and highly intelligent dog, Lucy.
Double Dog Dare Rescue will also be on hand to accept donations of the following items to support their operations: monetary donations, puppy pads, bleach, wipes, paper towels, crates, collars, leashes, and gas gift cards to defray transport costs.
Tickets are $26 and include a copy of Lessons from Lucy: The Simple Joys of an Old, Happy Dog. A book signing will follow the author talk. Additional titles will be available for purchase. Tickets may be purchased at any library branch or online at https://library.carr.org/barry.
