Helping seniors is more than meaningful—it’s total joy! Whether you’re sharing a laugh, lending a hand or learning something new from their incredible life stories, every moment is full of connection and heart. It’s high-fives after tech lessons, dance breaks during bingo and warm smiles that make your day. When you help our residents, you’re not just giving your time—you’re gaining friendship, wisdom and a whole lot of fun along the way!

Diverse, Flexible Opportunities

Many opportunities are available for adults, students and volunteer groups who are looking to give of themselves by volunteering at Carroll Lutheran Village. Opportunities are based on volunteers’ interests and availability. Whether volunteering at Carroll Lutheran Village once a month or multiple times a week, opportunities are available seven days a week during the morning, afternoon and evening.

Student Volunteers

Students between the ages of 13 and 18 can earn community service hours by volunteering at Carroll Lutheran Village. In addition to assisting with programs – bingo being one of the favorites, students can volunteer to read, play board games and more; the possibilities are endless.

We match students’ interests with volunteer opportunities – sometimes creating new programs where talents can make a difference.

Any student under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to volunteer. Parent/Guardian must complete an Adult Volunteer application.

Volunteer Groups

Group volunteer projects are most welcomed as part of our opportunities for volunteering at Carroll Lutheran Village. Over the past years, our residents have enjoyed homemade treats, entertainment, cookie decorating activities, making crafts, working together for a cause (e.g., treats for troops) and more.

Scouts, teams and other groups should complete our group volunteer application or call 443-605-1011 to discuss how their talent, energy and ideas can make a difference in the lives of our residents.
