Volunteering at Carroll Lutheran Village
It truly takes a village to make Carroll Lutheran Village a warm, welcoming home to nearly 700 people. Each year more than 400 volunteers give their time and talent in support of the Village.
Opportunities vary based on your interests. Volunteers are needed seven days a week, morning, afternoon and evening. You may volunteer once a month or once a week (or more), based on your availability.
Student Volunteers
If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you may volunteer at Carroll Lutheran Village to earn service hours toward your 75 hours of community service required to graduate in Maryland. Many students enjoy assisting with programs (bingo is one of the favorites), escorting residents (must be at least 14 years old) to entertainment programs, reading, playing board games…the possibilities are endless. Do you like to play an instrument? Entertain Village residents! We match your interests with volunteer opportunities – sometimes creating new programs where your talents can make a difference. Scroll down for the online application or call 443-605-1011 to request a paper application.
Adult Volunteers
Whatever your interest or passion, there is a volunteer opportunity for you. Only available once a month? We can work with you on the days/times you can volunteer. Want to develop a relationship with residents? Come in for a regular one-to-one visit. You could lead your own program or assist with programs scheduled. Or, you may provide support in the background. Your time and talents can make a difference here at Carroll Lutheran Village. Apply online (below) or call 443-605-1011 to request a paper application.
Volunteer Groups
Volunteer projects with groups are most welcome. Scouts, teams, and other groups can call 443-605-1011 to discuss how your talent, energy and ideas can make a difference in the lives of Village residents. Programs completed in the past include making treats for Health Care Center residents, decorating cookies, making crafts together, entertaining, working together to benefit a cause (like treats for troops) and more.
Already volunteer and need to document your hours? Download the form and return to the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@clvillage.org or 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, MD 21158.
