May 1, 2019 – Older Americans Month is the perfect opportunity to celebrate amazing leaders!  Each year more older adults are making a positive impact in our society.  As volunteers, employees, employers, educators, mentors, advocates and more, older adults offer insight and experience that benefit the entire community.  For over 50 years, Older Americans Month has been recognizing the contributions of this growing population and the key role older adults play in our neighborhoods, networks, and lives.

Led by the Administration for Community Living (ACL) each May, Older Americans Month provides resources to help older adults remain healthy and independent and provides resources to help communities support and celebrate their diversity.

This year’s theme is Connect, Create, Contribute:

Connect with friends, family and local services and resources.

Create through activities that promote learning, health, and personal enrichment.

Contribute time, talent and life experience to benefit others.

Residents at Join us in strengthening the at Carroll Lutheran Village have many opportunities each month to connect, create and contribute. These events, activities, and programs are intentionally designed to help residents Flourish, stay healthy, and experience all seven dimensions of wellness.
